Sandi Capuano Morrison, MA, is the Chief Executive Officer for the Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT). Prior to IVAT she was the manager of the city of San Diego, California’s Rape Crisis Center, and a member of the San Diego Sexual Assault Response Team and the San Diego Sex Offender Management Council. She has prior experience as the Director of the Tri-City Mental Health Agency’s IMPACT Batterer Intervention Program in Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked with victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse, as well as with offenders of domestic violence and sexual assault for the past 20 years in CO, CA and MA. Sandi has been Co-Chair of the IVAT International Conference on Violence, Abuse and Trauma for the past two years. Sandi also served as a former Trauma Intervention Program Volunteer for the city of San Diego assisting family members dealing with natural and violent deaths of individuals of all ages
