NPEIV Certificate Program

National Partnership to End Interpersonal Violence Across the Lifespan (NPEIV) Certificate Program

The NPEIV Certificate is a program of the National Partnership to End Interpersonal Violence Across the Lifespan. This certificate program is open to anyone working in the field of interpersonal violence or is a graduate of/current student in a related field.  The Certificate Program focuses on various aspects of the Handbook of Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Across the Lifespan, which is a comprehensive state-of-the-science reference work for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers. It is written from a trauma-informed perspective and utilizes adverse childhood experiences research as its basic developmental framework along with the traumatic effects all forms of interpersonal violence tend to produce. With public health and social justice in mind, this human-rights based handbook also focuses on the overlap and continuum of the various types of interpersonal violence. It integrates all forms of interpersonal violence while dealing with key issues of intersectionality and systems responses. The Certificate Program is an opportunity to learn from the more than 400 expert authors of the Handbook who contributed 202 chapters, among other experts involved with NPEIV.

Participants who have successfully completed 8.0 hours or two four-hour blocks of their choice, are able to obtain a certificate. The program is offered in a virtual/online format that will allow for interaction between the presenters and participants in real time. If you have questions about the NPEIV Certificate, please contact Sandi Capuano Morrison.
