kevin hamberger, PhD

Kevin Hamberger, PhD, is a Professor of Family and Community Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Medical College of Wisconsin, and an affiliate of the Injury Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Since 1982, he has conducted treatment and research programs with domestically violent men and women, and developed and evaluated health care provider training programs to deliver violence prevention services to patients. He was Principal Investigator on a recently completed three-year CDC-funded project evaluating the impact of a health systems change model of intervention to prevent and end intimate partner violence in primary care settings. He is a past Co-Chair and member of the Wisconsin Governor’s Council for Domestic Abuse and founding member and past Chair of the Wisconsin Batterer Treatment Provider Association.
